Ukrainians have continued to flee their homes in search of safety, increasing the number of displaced citizens within the country to 6 million, while an additional 3.5 million have become refugees in neighboring countries. Due to the suddenness of the situation, food, shelter, and other basic necessities are in short supply, and many people are finding themselves in very dire situations. However, a very dear friend and ministry Convoy of Hope has rapidly responded to this great need by providing food, water, hygiene items, tents, blankets, clothing, generators, and transportation resources to thousands of refugees. Convoy of Hope is a nonprofit, faith-based organization that has worked for many years to curtail crisis situations around the globe through children’s feeding initiatives, disaster response, and community outreach. By use of air freight, boats, and cargo vans, they have been delivering much-needed supplies into Ukraine since the war began. On Tuesday, March 22, the ministry provided a warm meal to over 2,500 citizens in a Ukrainian city, even as the sound of fighter jets and bomb explosions could be heard all around.
